The Indian Army has issued the Official Notification welcoming NCC Cadets to become Short Service Commission Officers through the NCC 57th Special entry. Age Limit:
The age requirement for candidates interested in applying for the Indian Army NCC 57th Special Entry Scheme 2024 is set as follows: For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties), the age bracket is between 19 to 25 years as of 01 Jan 2025 (born not earlier than 02 Jan 2000 and not later than 01 Jan 2006; both dates inclusive).

Selection Process:
The selection process for the Indian Army NCC 57th Special Entry Scheme 2024 is outlined as below:
- Shortlisting of Applicants:
- The Ministry of Defence (Army) Integrated Headquarters retains the authority to shortlist applications without providing any justification.
- Following the shortlisting process, candidates will receive notification of their Centre allotment via email.
- Upon receiving the Selection Centre allotment, candidates must access the website to choose their SSB dates, which are initially offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Subsequently, the Selection Centres will finalize the date allotments.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances or events, candidates may lose the opportunity to select their SSB dates.
- Shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres located in Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (Punjab).
Call-up letters for SSB interviews will be sent to candidates' registered e-mail id and via SMS by the respective Selection Centre.
The allocation of the Selection Centre is determined by the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), and requests for changes will not be accommodated.
- Candidates who have been recommended by the SSB and deemed medically fit will receive a joining letter for training based on their merit position, in accordance with the number of vacancies and upon meeting all eligibility requirements.
