India Post GDS Job Profile 2024

• The Branch Postmaster (BPM) is responsible for overseeing the daily postal operations at the Branch Post Office (B.O) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) according to the guidelines set by the Department.
• ABPM: Selling stamps and stationery, delivering mail to your doorstep, exchanging mail with the account office, handling deposits, payments, and other transactions for IPPB.
• Postal Worker: Postal workers will work in departmental offices such as sub-post offices, head post offices, and more.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no more than 40 years old as of the closing date.

• The selection process will be based on an automatically generated merit list, following specific rules and criteria from the candidates' online applications.
• The merit list will be calculated using the marks obtained in the 10th Standard/Secondary School Examination, with all grades converted to marks and aggregated to a percentage with high accuracy.
• Applicants with both marks and grades in their marks sheet must apply using marks only to avoid disqualification.
• No additional weight will be given for higher educational qualifications.
• The merit will be determined based on a priority order, considering factors such as date of birth, gender, and category.
