The notification for the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) - 2024 and Havaldar posts in CBIC/CBN was released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on 27 June 2024. Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility requirements for the positions of Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar in the CBIC and CBN are outlined below in terms of educational qualifications and age limits.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed the Matriculation exam from a school recognized by either a State or Central Board.
- Age Limit: The age of candidates should not be below 18, and should not exceed 25 and 27 years for MTS and Havaldar, respectively.
Note: Candidates belonging to the Other Backward Class and Scheduled Tribes or Tribes are eligible for a 3 and 5 year upper age relaxation.
Application Fee:
To register for the SSC MTS Exam 2024 via the Staff Selection Commission's official website at https://ssc.gov.in/, individuals belonging to the General or OBC category who are male must make an online payment of ₹100. However, female candidates, as well as SC, ST, PWD, and male Ex-Serviceman candidates, are not required to pay any application fee.
Exam Date:
The SSC has not yet announced the date for the CBT for the positions of MTS and Havaldar, but there is a possibility that the examination might take place in August 2024. The exam will consist of 90 multiple-choice questions, totaling 270 marks. Candidates will have a maximum of 90 minutes to complete all the questions in the exam.

Follow these steps to apply for the SSC MTS 2024
- Visit the website ssc.gov.in
- Click on the “Apply” button on the home page
- Then again click on the Apply button in front of the SSC MTS 2024 Examination
- If you are already registered with the SSC, then login using your Registration Number and Password
- If not registered, then click on the register now button and complete the registration process
- After the registration, login using the registration number and password.
- Then submit the SSC MTS 2024 Online Form, pay the application fee (if required)
- Download the finally submitted application form PDF for future reference. You can also take a printout of the application form submitted.
