Recriutment of Apprentices at ICF Chennai 

in 2024:

ICF Chennai is currently accepting online applications for the apprenticeship training program in various designated trades. The recruitment drive offers a total of 1010 apprentice seats, which are divided between freshers and ex-ITI candidates.
To apply for the Apprenticeship training program, interested candidates must submit their applications online. The application portal will remain open from 22 May 2024 to 21 June 2024 for candidates to register for the ICF apprentice recruitment.
Selection of freshers candidates will be based on merit, with the list being prepared according to their class 10th marks. Ex-ITI candidates will be selected based on their experience and qualifications.

Eligibility Criteria


Candidates who are interested in applying for the ICF Apprentice recruitment can verify their eligibility by referring to the eligibility criteria provided below:

Age Limit: 
  • ITI applicants should fall within the age range of 15 to 24 years, 
  • non-ITI applicants should be between 15 to 22 years old. 
  • There are age relaxations of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwD candidates.

Educational Qualification:


        For Ex-ITI:
      • Candidates applying for Fitter, electrician, and Machinist should have cleared their Class X with a minimum of 50% marks and Science & math in 10+2. He/ she should also possess a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from the National or State Council.
      • Candidates applying for Carpenter, Painter, & Welder should possess an NTC certificate issued by the National or State Council for Vocational Training. 
      • Candidates applying for the PASSA trade must have cleared  Class X and possess an NTC certificate in the Computer Operator and Programming Assistance trade.
        For Fresher:
      • Applicants who are new to the field and are interested in positions such as fitter, electrician, and machinist are required to have successfully completed the Class X examinations with a minimum of 50% marks, with a focus on science and math in the 10+2 system.
      • For freshers applying for roles like carpenter, painter, and welder, it is necessary to have passed the class X standard with a minimum of 50% marks.
      • Freshers who wish to apply for MLT Radiology and Pathology positions should have successfully cleared the class XII examination with a focus on PCB.

Steps to apply for the ICF Chennai Apprentice Recruitment 2024:

To apply for the ICF Chennai Apprenticeship, please follow the steps below:
  1. Visit the ICF web portal at https://pb.icf.gov.in/.
  2. Click on the "Apply for Act Apprentice 2024-25" option mentioned on the website.
  3. Select the "Fill the Online Application" option and choose either the EX-ITI or Fresher option based on your qualification.
  4. Provide all the necessary details on the following page to register on the portal.
  5. Double-check all the information before finalizing it and receiving the OTP.
  6. Once the OTP verification is complete, upload your passport-size photo and other relevant documents to support your application.
  7. Proceed to make the application fee payment through your preferred method to complete the registration process.
  8. After a successful transaction, generate the acknowledgment form from the system.
  9. Print out the acknowledgment form as you will be required to present it during the document verification process.
